Annet Mahendru

Mahendru is an Afghani woman born of an Russian father and mother who is a Hindu Indian mother. She is fluent in German, Russian and English in addition to French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru, born in India to an Indian father and a Russian father and an Indian mother, is fluent with both of the languages. In her early teens, she created a choreography that gained her an appearance on German television as a beautiful Russian snow maiden that turns into a lively Indian dancer. She completed high-school in New York before earning a bachelor of Arts (English) at St. John's University. After school she took acting classes at the HB Studio but then moved on to study improvisation at The Groundlings School taking on several comedy projects thereafter. She was raised in Kabul Afghanistan by a Hindu/Indian father Ghanshan Mahendru and an Russian-speaking mother Olga. The couple divorced when she was 13 years old and she relocated into East Meadow New York with her father.She is a part of Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell on FX's The Americans. The Americans' Nina Sergeevna Krilova is her most famous role. She has had a recurring part in The Following on Fox, The Following and NBC's The Blacklist.
